Daily 'Plant Doctor' sessions with gardening correspondents, Val & Steve Bradley – bring along your ailing plants and any gardening conundrums and they will help you solve them.

Daily Free Talks and Demonstration with Georgia Miles from The Sussex Flower School at The Garden & Home Marquee (demo lasts approx. ½ hour)

Come and watch Georgia demonstrate how to use the abundance of Spring and early Summer flowers around us. She will show you how to create and wrap a large hand tied design and how to fill a fabulous garden urn with foraged foliage and seasonal flowers. Both designs are very easy to recreate at home and  be warned -you may just get the flower bug!
Georgia runs lots of different floristry and gardening courses from her workshop – have a look at her website www.thesussexflowerschool.co.uk

Free Talk & Walk with Phil Fenech - Head Gardener at Firle Estate

Guided Tours of The Pleasure Grounds: Meet Phil at the Information Tent in Firle Gardens 10 minutes before each walk is scheduled to begin. (Phil welcomes donations at the end of the tour for Perennial www.perennial.org.uk )

Daily at:

  • 11.00am
  • 3.00pm

Tours last approx 1 hour.
(Please be aware there are some steep inclines on this walk though we do have benches on route to rest your legs!)

A rare chance to visit 'The Secret Gardens of Firle Place ' which are only open this weekend in April and only one day in the autumn! The Garden Show is supporting The National Garden Scheme by giving enthusiasts a unique opportunity to visit the 20 acre Pleasure Grounds, a woodland garden dating back to the eighteenth century. The garden team are restoring the Pleasure Grounds in the spirit of the original 'Cabinets de Verde', hidden woodland glades, with different planting themes in each area. Philip Fenech, Head Gardener, will be conducting three tours daily over the weekend and with enthusiasm explain the techniques and skills needed to develop this very special and beautiful lost valley.
