Stansted House, set in 1750 acres of glorious park and woodland is a stunning venue. A prime example of Caroline revival and glorious in its parkland setting, Stansted offers visitors a highly enjoyable day out.

The house is Grade II* and is home to the Bessborough family treasures - the 18 th century Brussels tapestries, t he magnificent collection of bird paintings, Liotard portraits, the Duchess of Westminster's Embroidery Collection and unusual display of fans in the Blue Drawing Room. Its Below Stairs Experience continues to fascinate visitors with its glimpse of social history.

Visit too the Bessborough Arboretum , the renovated Well Head Garden and the beautiful Chapel , inspiration for Keat's 'Ode to St Mark'. The Chapel will be brimming with fabulous flower arrangements by the Emsworth Afternoon Flower Club with the theme of "Memories" raising funds for 'Heroes & Heroines' raising funds for Help for Heroes .

  • 'Enjoy the fun of the new miniature railway - Stansted Light Railway is a new 7.25" gauge railway built in the grounds of Stansted Park.
  • Visit the thriving Stansted House Garden Centre.
  • The Pavilion Tea Room provides an excellent selection of home-made fayre in the charming surroundings of Victorian Glasshouses in ther Walled Garden.
