It has come to our attention that our exhibitors may be approached by an exhibition listing company called FAIR GUIDE with the intention of signing them up to an internet based directory.

The form that is sent implies that the directory is endorsed by The Garden Show. This is absolutely not the case.

The form asks the exhibitor to confirm their details are correct to ensure an accurate entry in the guide. However upon signing the form and returning it to the address or fax number provided, the exhibitor is in fact confirming an order to have their company details included on the FAIR GUIDE website for 3 years at a cost of approximately £700 per year. This is only stated in the small print and you must be sure this is what you want before signing.

The company behind FAIR GUIDE, Construct Data Verlag GmbH, is behaving quite legally and as a result The Garden Show are limited in the action they can take. We urge our exhibitors to be wary of the FAIR GUIDE form should they receive it, and recommend that you always examine offers (especially the small print) from companies very closely and refrain from accepting non-reputable offers.
