Barbara Jones – Studio Shop Marquee
Barbara Jones is a local watercolour artist who lives in Purbrook, Hampshire. She took up watercolour painting about twenty years ago and was immediately captivated by the difficult yet spontaneous medium. After bringing up her two daughters, Barbara seized the moment to pursue her passion. Working from her own experiences and love of the coast and the tranquillity it brings her, she continues to develop her own style and to portray her connection with her subjects. Her goal is to record their detail but to do it with emotion. Barbara takes an active role in local art trails and exhibitions and is happy to take commissions, teach watercolour and perform demonstrations.

Fe Stevens – Studio Shop Marquee
Working in my own studio on both small and large scale projects, I design and make everything by hand. My current designs are bespoke lighting and garden sculptures. In my designs I favour a simple contemporary style displaying originality, innovation and integrity of expression. I work in steel and copper with the occasional other medium such as perspex in my copper pendant light. My designs can be scaled in size to suit an individual requirement and they can also be any colour to compliment the home or a planting aspect of a garden. I happily take commissions too!

The Moon Up Above– Studio Shop Marquee
Sculpted Narrative Jewellery using mixed metals, designed & created by Nadine based on the natural world. My work defies the current trend of minimalism within jewellery design. Although I use silver, bronze and copper, traditional metals for jewellery, the pieces are bold, amusing, sometimes allegorical but always evocative. People who like my work speak of it as Art on a chain. Many feel it speaks of antiquity. My experience and training has come from a fine art perspective including painting, printmaking and stone sculpting. I am more interested in the emotional and spiritual impact of each piece. Does the running hare silver pin take you back to that magical moment when you first glimpsed one leaping across a field in winter? Does a little wren necklace on a nest of eggs make you long for Spring? Do the gulls, stones and crashing waves on a pendant take you back to those bucket and spade holidays you loved as a child? The texture of my rings evoke walks in the woods when you examined the deep fissures of the bark on those magnificent oak trees. There is always more to my jewellery than meets the eye. The work is heartfelt and meaningful and never meant as an embellishment for fashion. People who buy from me know that they buy a piece of my heart. That is the reason I do what I do.

I am Elisa Mott and work from my home studio in Portsmouth creating jewellery and home ware from glass. I use the traditional technique of flame work and the modern technique of glass fusing. I take my inspiration from the natural world especially birds and my travels. I often express this in my glass through colour and texture.
Developing new skills and experimenting with glass is an exciting part of my progress so you can expect ongoing new and original designs. I take part in a number of local exhibitions and events throughout the year and run regular workshops in Cosham.

Designs On Silk – Studio Shop Marquee
I love the vibrant colours painting and dyeing silk can produce. My inspiration for colour combinations comes from the patterns and colours that you see in the natural world. Having lived overseas for many years I love the vividness of colours that glow in naturally bright light.
This I can replicate by using silk as my medium to produce silk scarves, sarongs, necklaces, ties, bow-ties, cravats and other silk accessories.
