..'and All That Jazz ' .. We know we are listening to jazz when we hear it but to define what it is that makes jazz jazz, is almost impossible, but as soon as the first few notes reach our senses we just know we are listening to real jazz. This versatile and striking style of music, song and dance strikes a chord whether fast, slow, loud, quiet, happy or blue. "The Jazz Show" presents a variety of performers from individual jazz musicians to big band sound and unique voices to exhilarating dance routines. Surely there is no better way to spend one of the last evenings of summer than listening and joining in to some great jazz entertainment at beautiful Althorp .

The Jazz Show was launched at Stansted Park in Hampshire and has seen fabulous performances by Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk, Mishka Adams, Gerry Brown & The Mission Hall Jazz Band and The New Gateway Jazz Band amongst many others.

It is with great delight that ' The Cotton Club Revue' has become a moveable feast and we are delighted to present this exciting jazz show at Althorp, on the Saturday evening of ' The Garden Show in Autumn'. A n action packed show with 'Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra' and 'The Jiving Lindy Hoppers' celebrating the music, dance and songs of the Cotton Club, that famous nightclub which flourished in New York's Harlem in the 1920's and 1930's. With style and panache they communicate the exuberance of the music and dance of that era with star vocalists Megs Etherington and Julie Horton paying their unique tribute to the great singers of the time, including Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Ethel Waters and Lena Horne. A Saturday night dance mood from times past, setting feet tapping and hands clapping. ( www.harrrystrutters.com & www.jivinglindyhoppers.com ).

Not only all this - we are delighted to be introducing 'Coralie', a lovely new face on the jazz scene, a smooth and evocative voice which combined with a flamboyant style sets the mood for the evening.

So .. sit back, stand or dance and just simply .. enjoy a wonderful Saturday evening of real Jazz at a beautiful location in the heart of the English countryside during The Garden Show in Autumn.. .
